How do women feel when men use “Hi Ladies” as an opening in their profile or in the forums?
For me it’s very impersonal and a huge turn off. Can anyone relate? Any thoughts?
I’m not trying to criticize anyone. It’s just that I see men use this opener frequently and it evokes such negative feelings in me.

I get the giggles....and imagine someone with oily hair slicked back, and a pimp moustache from the 1970's....sans stretch jersey shirt undone to the navel, and lots of gaudy gold bling...

it's the funniest line...smoooooth....and sooooo not sexy....

I'm with you!

I agree with the majority of women who've already posted their thoughts. I feel the same. It makes me feel cheap. Feels like i'm being put in a queue, just so the guy can shout "NEXT!". It gives me the impression that they're only after sex.

What do you prefer being called then?

I put a title "For the ladies" on one of the jokes I posted, didn't realize it caused so much angst (anxiety?)! what

I roll my eyes more when some stranger calls me sweetie, baby, honey or any of those cutesy little names.

No one enjoys feeling like part of a batch.

well I guess it depends on what he is looking for. I do not recall seeing that remark on the profiles I've visited (and it has been several months since I've read a profile), so it may be the kinds of men u are viewing (maybe?) or maybe I just haven't noticed....

but to me it would imply someone who was a player basically - talking to multiple women - which most do anyway But yes, it would not seem like he was looking for one partner. So he could also be turning off the kinds of women he is seeking if he is looking for a monogamous partner

Yeah, that's why I said stranger, as it's completely different.

It hasn’t caused any anxiety. I also am very accepting of the variety of reasons why people are here and what they are looking for. However, I don’t believe that ALL men who group women by using the plural form of language are actually looking for multiple relationships. Yet when that language is used their intentions could be easily misunderstood.

If your wish is to address all women with your message, by all means go for it. It’s public, we already know that many people are reading it. I was pointing out that individualized messages might be more effective when men and women are looking for a monogamous/serious relationships.

I'm not viewing any men at the moment. In the forum under new members I noticed many use that language to connect with one or several women.
Yes, I agree.
