Okay...if hell is here on earth.(could be) Hell has many levels of horrible. The Bible says that the evil and just will be in hell at the same time.(is it supposed to be for only the wicked?)
Hell: the middle east, Isarael, Jerusalem, Iraq...
Africa...so many communities, Darfur, Oh my God, I can't even imagine. Pure hell.
South Korea...hell.
Here in the States, all the lower levels of lower income, and no income. The homeless.
The inner cities with all the gang violence, innocents being killed and in fear everyday.

So, what is heaven on earth? If hell is here, then where is heaven? Is heaven only for the rich and most comfortable?
Is heaven what we make it? Is hell what we make it?
If we are in hell...do we as people of good and like mind change it to be more heavenly by believing in people and looking to them for the change? By changing ourselves, our thoughts and wants?
It is said" no matter where you go; there you are." If that's true; then how do we escape it?

Something for comment.

Just a thought, change what you have control over to change (most often yourself, every now and then more than self is possible) the rest, mentally rise above it. Patiently enduring, for me is a rough one, but I'm attempting it. Patience slips a lot........

It's a choice we all make for ourselves regaurdless of our situation or location.
I've met some very happy people in dire circumstances and miserable ones that have the world by the tail.

don't know about a hell as a place but am fully aware of the idea of hell on earth. everyone has their moments of pain but not everyone can escape it to turn it into something good for others to witness.

So, if I believe in hell as an eternal hereafter of evil doings and being; then; where does that put me believing in heaven? We are told that hell is a punishment; and heaven is a reward. If hell is here: then why are we being punished before knowing why? And, if this is hell, then is heaven of no regard now?

Maybe there's more than one hell and heaven. Basically, its gonna come down to what is truly believed by you heart, mind, and soul.

to me the whole thing is about perspective and piece of mind.
there are people who have been through hell in their life but it has not turned them into a negative and sour person. they choose to use the pain in their lives and persevere while spreading love and understanding.

Yes, King, you're right. However, when I ended up going through that type of pain, oh yeah, I wallowed in it, got to know it pretty well inside and out. The thing is I didn't endure it or learn to deal with it for anybody witnessing it. I did it because you I had one option with two choices. The one option was I had to end that pain. I'm still here, so you know which choice I went with too - grow from the pain and leave it behind.

If hell is here on earth; and we have resources, and a way to change it for those that are sooo living in it: Then why do we allow others to die a living death? Are we not trying to avoid hell for ourselves? If so, then why is it that we have not taken a stand to help those most affected, innocently, to know a heaven?
Why do we sit by idley, and watch while others suffer needlessly and die while suffering fear we have never known?

"grow from the pain and leave it behind"

that is all i meant differentkindofwench. alot of people don't grow from it and they continue to wallow in it which i think creates hell on earth. when i mentioned the part about for others to witness it was meant more in an inspirational way to help others escape their hell on earth...i apologize, i haven't been thinking to clearly lately and i haven't been real clear in my meaning.

I have lived a type of hell. I have seen and done really bad things. I have been treated sooooo wrong. But, my hell.....has nothing on the hell that millions are witnessing as we type.

i don't sit idley by scttrbrain. i try to help whenever i can but sometimes i just don't speak the words that they need to hear at the moment or they aren't done wallowing. i've met many people who are being eaten alive by their personal hell but they would rather wrap themselves in the comfort of whoa is me and the self pity rather than to struggle for the piece of mind.

they had two stories on the 20/20 tonight. one was a former child soldier from sierra leone and the other a nun who was tortured and abused for weeks in guatemala. both of them found the way out of their hell and go around speaking publicly about not letting hell destroy the person you are or the love in your heart.

King, both your posts have meaning and were well done, you have nothing to apologize for.

Kat-Woman what's up? Lets get to the nitty gritty here. Can we get more specific about what type of help (hell) you're frustrated about?

What I am reaching for here, is clarity. We are a diverse group here. There are so many that have so much to offer on this subject.
I am glad to have you all posting here, but I was looking for a more in depth challenge, or conversation; if you will. I know you have more to offer than you are telling. Wench, come on now.
Where is chubbycherub, and lulu, and AB, and Abra, and lonely w? Artgirl, Red and so many more.
king,bigsexy,kid...dig deeper. I know it's there.

i really don't think there is alot more to it. i personally think that if you allow bad things to warp you heart, you won't be happy and you will relive it everyday.

i think it is normal to be hurt but to turn it against others because you are afraid to deal with the pain will do nothing but cause you more pain. in a moment of weakness people create

i have never understood the thought of if their was a god their wouldn't be so much pain in the world but to feel pain is normal, it's all in what you do with that pain to me.
