It is pretty negative.
You could balance the news with some
good stuff.
Focus on what you want, not what you don't.
It is a fine line :-)
Then, spending time in the forums will
actually turn up the active members.
Sway them with your charm :-)

Hey!

I definitely agree with Soufiehere and Kic, there's no need to advertise the troubles of your past relationship, and try to add some more positive things about yourself.

Most of all, quit smoking, it's not good for you, and very unhealthy for your beautiful kids to be around, even in a second-hand capacity. Also, you don't need to advertise your income/monetary situation, these are all things that can be disclosed as you get to know an individual. Give the girls a chance to get to know your personality before you give them the number to your bank account.

One last thing, do a spell and grammar check before you post your profile description as a lot of women feel that good language skills are a sure sign of a reasonably intelligent man.

Good luck, I'm cheering for you.

Take out the part about your wife. You've said your status is separated. If someone really wants to hear the details, let them ask. And take out the gold digger part. It just sounds negative. Try writing more about what you enjoy doing and what you're looking for, as it will make your profile much more honest.

Friend,
I ran your profile through a spelling checker and fixed up the grammar and punctuation as well. Please accept this rewrite as my gift to you as one guy to another who has been where you are.

I am recently separated from my wife (again). We tried to give it one more try but it didn't work; she left again. I am a father of two beautiful little angels -- my oldest is four and my youngest is one. My world revolves around them, first and foremost. If you can't handle that, then please don't waste my time. Other than that, I am a kind, loving and honest man. I don't earn a lot of money but my bills are paid so if you're a gold digger, then don't bother because I don't have any.

Not a lot of women want to take on the responsibility of cooking and cleaning for a couple of kids, especially if they are spoiled by a parent (and generally they are spoiled twice as much as a parent thinks they are). Chances are that they won't accept a new mother very quickly if at all, and the problems could become much worse as they age. Why not put an ad in the newspaper or on Kijiji for a housekeeper who loves young children? You never know, you might find one who loves cleaning, loves kids, and is the "perfect match."

By the way, your daughters truly are cute, and it's admirable of a father to take so much interest in his kids.
