According to Websters a cult is defined as a system of religious worship or ritual. If Mormons are a cult so then are Christians.

Modern behavioral experts would include elements of mind control in the definition; the group works to remove independence and places all the decision making on a select few or even one person, usually the prophet, almost always someone who speaks for god . . . ect.

technically they are both cults,some even call atheism a cult or religion.I have a bad habit myself of using the phrase i believe there is no god,which that belief system is technically somehow configured into religion is why some think atheism is a cult/religion.
I should word it as "I reject the idea of there being a god." |

i grew up in a kkk cult i was beaten n raped everyday till i was 20. i have stuidied religions of the world for years and i have found no differance in any religion they are all cults. being atheist, is the defoult posistion, when you are born you are religion Free. yes you should not use " i beleve there is no god" use "the fact is there is no "god(s)".
