My 16 year old son broke up with his girlfriend last weekend. She was his first girlfriend and they have been together for over a year. He has talked to me nearly every day this week about it and last night he thanked me for all my advice. He said I had really made him feel better.
You know, I have always thought my son and I were pretty close, but you never really know with a teenager. They are so good at hiding things. But this really made me feel good. Like he feels close to me too.
