My concern is as follows:

I have been in contact and make friends with a few different girls around Mingle2.
The thing is that in their profile adresses mention cities from the United States. Places like Tampa-Florida, Bronx-New York, and many others from the states are mentioned.

Then, when you make contact, talk to them for a while, via IM Chat or email, they, ALL of them, say something like "I was born on the states, moved to West Africa and live here, now." Or "I travel to Africa often, because I study animals there, I am in Africa now, but will meet you soon, in person, anyways."

Or other stories like that... you get it?

A really suspicious thing going on here? Or what?

Are all the girls in Mingle2 from the states, but live in AFRICA now?

This is really wierd or simply a very easy to spot SCAM from some ghost writers, companies trying to get your personal email and the like.

Any light on this matter will be appreciated. Anyone else experiencing things like this? How to really get to know real people in a (very convinient) FREE website like this Mingle2 is supposed to be?

The way to fix the problem is to report
all suspected scammers.
They are dealt with immediately.

The longer you are here, the easier
it is to spot them.

There is a 'Report This User' at the
right-hand top of every profile.

I use it 20 times a day :-)

Sounds like you've been chatting with scammers. Just report them.

Spend more time in the forums and you'll find many people who do live in the US.
