You're still having intonation problems, but you're getting better. Your breath control is improving. smile2 Don't fret, though-I will train you well. flowerforyou shades

I'm very monotone when I do this style, cuz Billie Joe sings like that always. I guess I was doing a slight imitation. lol

Rock isn't my thing, I love listening to it but I can't really sing it cause it takes a special kinda voice to. I could use a better mic though. God I wish I had a studio.

Fear not! I have a condenser mic and digital studio with the standard effects (reverb, etc). But studio work is one of the less important aspects of performing arts anyway. Delivering a strong, consistent live performance is how a sustainable career is built. smokin You should think of recordings as teasers to get people to buy tickets to your shows as a general rule.

Now I just have to get you into my studio. flowerforyou

That sounds appealing enough. If I go into a studio I may never come out. I'm so fascinated by that stuff.

Live is very important. I just need to perform more. Just get over my fears of the stage and all that craziness. I'm so used to behind the curtain I need to build a persona from the stage now.

I guess that can be arranged, I don't really know anyone with a studio personally. Plus their rates get a wee bit high and I be a struggling artist so I have to make do with what I have. The sounds I'm using now are just making my voice sound more raw than I'd like. But I guess that's live performing right? I'm not a lip-syncer and I pride myself on performing and getting into the organic aspect of it.

What do you mean, you don't know anyone with a studio? You know me! glasses

Live performing isn't necessarily raw. Good venues have sound techs with mixing boards almost exactly like one you'd see in a studio. (I know how to use a 24-track mixer myself, but I'm a bit out of practice, and the digital mixer is more practical in my rather cramped studio. I've also assisted sound techs) But if you can get a good sound in any old setting-like a bar or pub-you'll get a good sound anywhere. smokin

You sound better than most of the contestants on 'American Idol'. A hundred times better than them.

There's a certain trick to that. Try looking at the spotlights at the back of the audience. Do not look directly into the audience, or at the front row either ;)

Ha, thanks...I love Green Day to death but I don't think anyone could do really perfect rendition of anyone of their songs. They're such staples. I wa just messing around. I really hope I didn't butcher it...

Haha, I've seen the show...I'm really jealous at their conviction. I wish I had that. I've heard over and over people keep telling me, there's something there, you just need more confidence. Ugh, I am working on it. I did SOME theater and choir was I was in high school, fast-forward to several years later...I also don't think the smoking is helping much. Got some bad habits I need to cut.

I do try that whenever I'm onstage. The second I look at the eyeballs its just like GAH, I'm really doing this.

Just drop me a line when you're planning to come through Phoneix, babes, and we'll do it. smokin Make sure you're reasonably sober and don't stink when you stop by. The studio is rather small, and I don't want to be stuck in here with some stinky person for hours on end.

I don't know if I'll be around that area anytime soon.

I'll spray a lot of rose perfume so that won't be an issue.
