Does anyone here go? When I first went I didn't know what it was. My friend from work invited me and all she asked was "do you like animals?" Chyeah I said. I thought it was going to be completely different from what it was. I was raised Jewish so this is a wee bit opposite than what I am used to. It turned out to be really fun. I never considered converting. I suppose being open-minded I found a new respect for it. I didn't think I would enjoy reading the bible as much or really think and apply both the old and new testaments to every day life. But this is what it was. And its great. Good friends, a dinner and a nice discussion. We all have a great interaction and vibe going. I feel accepted for the first time.

What's yours like? when I lived in Ohio, there was a family of Jehovah Witnesses who came to my home weekly to have bible study with me,, although some of our interpretations were different, they really knew their bible and I really enjoyed our time |

A lot of our discussions are pulled from the New Testament. The Old Testament is referred to also sometimes. What I like is how they are welcoming of opinions even to people who really don't believe in the bible. Maybe skeptics. I wasn't a huge one but now I'm listening, its pretty interesting to see the words and language, the stories. I like it more and more.

I agree. My study guests were much more into interpreting numbers from biblical scripture than I am (like assuming how old the earth is or what year Jesus reign on earth begins/began,,,etc), but it was interesting to see how they came to their conclusions,,,,

We take turns reading scriptures, discuss, throw real life scenarios out there, discuss some more, laugh have a good deep thinking and we all get something from it. It isn't all that technical with numbers. Actually feels no different than group counseling in many ways lol without the $4 a minute charge.
