This is a poem I wrote just before meeting in person, a guy I'd met online. I ended up going with this guy for over a year! So ladies.....don't give up your dreams or quit trying to find a man....just be safe in doing so and be a little daring and flirty.




Who is this stranger, that keeps my mind wondering,
Is he who he says he is or, is he planning and plundering?
Can he be open and honest, loving and kind?
Will he not play the ritual games with my mind?

Can he be the man I’m dreaming about,
Shooting straight forward without a doubt?
Will he be there with a shoulder, for me to cry upon,
As I will be for him, if it gets to be too trying?

Only some chatting and a phone call or two,
Wanting to meet him but a little hesitant, too.
What will he wear, how will he smell?
Will he hug me and put me in under his spell?

Will he like the same things that I like to do?
But still keeping his own individuality?
Cuddling, soft kisses, just holding each other,
Two hearts beating as one, completing each another.

Who knows what the future will hold,
Stepping forward, daring to be bold.
Yes, we will meet sometime real soon,
Discover and share ourselves, before we are doomed.

I’m excited and hopeful that when we do meet,
We’ll get to know each other well, before sliding t’ween the sheets.
I need completion, happiness and a little bit of repair,
But I won’t give up, or give in to despair!
