Do women do this..

Okay I was at work today and so by the luck of the draw so to speak, I happen to see this girl that used to work where I'm at still, anyways what makes me wonder is this.

When I had asked her out and then she said yes and then because I was so nervouse and scared at the same time and probably everything above that could be listed when I finally did ask her out a few years or more ago, any way's she said yes then like when I went back to get her number because I forgot to ask, she said her phone wasn't working. I was like okay.. she said she was trying to get a new one in a few weeks or so, I waited and waited and asked again and then I asked her if she wanted to hang out with me and some other co works as just friends and got no thanks and then a month or so later she quit.

So I guess my question to all of you what would make some body not be honest enough and up fort instead of trying to play mind games or making me or other guys wait etc.

To be perfectly honest I have noting to hide and am a wide open book, so if somebody was to ask me out and I didn't feel anything I would be honest and up fort and not lie.

So why do others feel the need to do this other then the fact there not wanting to hurnt your feelings when in turn they already did.

But I got to say maybe it's for the best and or meant to be that way. I just still wished after seeing her but saying noting because I was busy at work at the moment, if I could have asked her why she did that and all.

I don't know about anybody here but the truth feels a lot better then lieing or misleading somebody and or playing mind games etc.

But I guess that's just me and probably why I never bothered asking any other girls out is because I don't want to be rejected or have the same thing happen, although I'm not scared of being rejected and all it just takes time to get over that type of thing etc.

Maybe so but it wouldn't of offend me that much, she could have easly said no and I would have been on to bigger and better things, surely that was the first time I asked a girl out and surely I admit I'm not that great looking and I'm no brad pitt etc.

Perhaps - time to seek another prospect

Look forward to new opportunities, not backwards in regret

Well if she didn't want to hurt your feelings it would be better to say I have a boyfriend instead of making up lame excuses that in the end will only hurt your feelings....
Not all girls play mind games and you'll find the one right for you someday:smile:

Yeah maybe your right, it's not that I so much regret anything but it's the fact that one person couldn't be up fort and honest is all.

Why make somebody day and then pretty much burn them the next so to speak.

It would be like somebody asking me out and me telling them sure and then they go to get a phone number and I say my cell phone is out of service or some b.s lie like that, how would any women feel about that ? I bet not to happy and they would call all men trash like they already have etc and never trust them again.

But then again maybe I'm looking at this whole thing totally wrong.

mistyblue2012 yeah I would have respected her a bit more if she said she had a boy friend etc, but noting to that came up.

And if somebody is gonna make up some lame excuses it surely better be better then my cell phone out and I need to get a new one or will have a new one in a few weeks etc.

how do you know she was lying? maybe her phone really WAS out of service...

Well maybe her phone was really out, the bottom line to this whole topic and my point was, how could one phone be out for so long and when a guy ask a girl out and that girl say's yes and then she claims her phone is out or not working whichever, and is getting a new one but hasn't gotten one in weeks or months, what does that tell you.

I mean maybe she wasn't lying but she could have easy told me she didn't like me that way or whatever women say to b.s there way out of going out with a guy, even if a guy tells her even as friends etc.

And like I've said before I rather be up fort and honest then lie. but if I need to lie then I would do it the right way to cover my a$$.

All in all I thought it was wrong and just wonder why women play mind games and not be so up fort was all.

John, your taking this all to personal & trying to control something you can't. Let it go, move on. Life hands you lemons; make lemonade. It isn't fair that my wife died, I can cry in my beer or make the best of it. My CHOICE/YOUR CHOICE.

Oldsage, I get what your saying and all but you where in love etc and somebody you loved died.

Where as somebody I had hoped to maybe spend more time with just played me for a fool or I just got played whichever the case maybe.

And maybe you think I'm taking it to personal when in fact I'm not, I just wonder why women play mind games and lie instead of lying etc and not being up fort etc.

I know I can move on and have etc. But just asking a question or wondering isn't to me taking anything personal or nor am I letting this take control of my life etc.

I know the whole thing when somebody hand you lemons make lemonade etc, I've heard that a lot time ago lol, but I don't think that applys to this then again I could be wrong.

Men play games, too. I have been a victim of such games numerous times.

And yes I know men play games too.

I guess to each his or her own choice.

The whole thing was when I saw this girl today, I was just rewinded in my mind about how stunned she basically left me and then left me basically burned with out any answers or questions to those answers etc.

If she acted in such a fashion, she probably isn't worth your time. I know you've heard that, too. It is the truth, though.

And yes I'm not saying she wasn't being honest about the whole phone thing either, hack there have been times I don't pay on my phone or rather cell and it get's shut off it happens but then I am able to catch up etc, I can understand that.

But why not be honest with somebody instead of leaving them hanging etc.

Like say yes you'll go out with him or her and then noting happens, even after that other party tires his or her best to understand and make since of the whole thing.

John, It doesn't matter if she played you or not.
Facts are: Players come in both sex's. You can only control you
If she played you, she was rude. If she was trying to let you down nice, she had YOUR best interest at heart. Only she knows the truth. You will think what YOU WANT.

Here's some lemons, suck on them & get a sour puss. Or mix them with water & sugar for a good time.

Let the other go, your questions can't really be answered.

Your probably right needagoodlaugh.

And I learned that more then anything years ago and even today after asking another co worker a close to same question as I've asked you people. Odd is all.
