I've heard several suggestions that sound gory...(sigh).

I don't want to kill them.

I want them to stop digging in my Mom's flowerpots,

leaving soil all over the patio floor.

I thought they were looking for bulbs but they're persistantly uprooting "bulbless" plants as well.

Thank you for your suggestions.

you might try taking a bar of irish spring
soap and running it around the outside
edge of the pots, good coating.
works for deer,,,

A nice tom cat will take care of them for you. :)

Have you tried something like shake-away? It's supposed to keep pests away without harming them or the environment.

Ohhh no!

I couldn't do that!

I thought about hitting them with a broom as they scurry away.
But they're too fast. (spock )

My Mom seems sad ohwell after she sees the damage.

I just want to repell them.

Thanks!

She's got geraniums, and come to think of it,,,I haven't seen them come out of that pot.

You may be on to something, luvin53!

I'll tell my Mom about the moth balls as well!

Thank you!

Hire some Mercenaries.

If those mercenaries are squirrels...no thanks.

They are coming around as well.

A friend told me to try orange peels.

So we put oranges down and they devoured them.slaphead

I'll rofl when this is solved!

But until then, I "ain't nothin but a hounddog"

Thank you too!

Totage, my parents went right out and bought that "Shake away".

So far, there is a little less activity.

I will check back with her in couple more days to see full results.

Thanks again!

That's good. I was afraid if it wasn't working, you would have had some pretty bad chipmunks on your hands. lol

I would have offered to have Dixy, our tomcat come in and take care of them. He's from the hood and he's pretty hardcore. :P

I have heard that one way to repel varmints is making a circle around the area with human urine. Guys, get to work.
