Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and will be fined for if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts itself from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that's broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

Actually everyone is forced to have health care. Regardless of Obama.

Everyone gets sick and everyone dies. Everyone must get care of some sort.

The only question is how shall we all pay for it?

One way or another. It is not a very complex problem.

Most of the best care systems in the world are single-payer govt
run programs. These offer the best care and at the lowest cost
per person. There is no reason why the US shouldn't be best in
the future.

It is a matter of us making the effort to make it happen.

1.gifted with a plan we are forced to purchase?,,,yes,, kind of like our military, our educational system and medicare Apples to oranges, again...

A TAX TO A TAX ..APPLES TO APPLES

2. written by a committe whose chairman doesnt understand it? probably

there have been several versions passed and edited by several people and committees since its inception,, its probably true amongst them were those who didnt understand completely and EVEN one that may be a chairman of one of the ocmmittees. So does this make it acceptable or can we just call your rebuttal it what it is?

ACCEPTABILITY WASNT WHAT I RESEARCHED, I RESEARCHED THE VERACITY OF THE STATMENT....IT WAS WRITTEN BY NOT 'A COMMITTEE' SO THAT IS (AT THE LEAST ) SPIN,,,LOL

BUT one PERSON ON ONE OF THOSE COMMITTEES POSSIBLY DIDNT UNDERSTAND IT AND POSSIBLY WAS A CHAIRMAN,,,,SO THATS PROBABLY TRUE

3. passed by a congress that hasnt read it.,,,,No clue, between the house and senate there are at least 535 people, I havent asked each of them whether they read it,, I havent even asked one of them honestly....but its available to read here,,,Well since you say you are clueless, here is a link that will, at the very least, get you started on becoming more aware of how congress operates when it comes to reading bills

ttp://www.politico.com/news/stories/0609/24348.html

YEP,, HASNT 'READ' IMPLIES PRESENT TENSE, THE ARTICLE IS FROM 2009. I STAND BY MY ADMISSION THAT I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY ASKED ALL OF THOSE FIVE HUNDRED SOME PEOPLE IF THEY HAVE READ THE BILL THAT HAS NOW BEEN PUBLICLY POSTED FOR OVER A YEAR.

4.congress exempt? ...not exactly,,,,they actually have LESS options than we do as they will only be able to purchase from an exchange, losing their own current government plan and not able to choose to buy private to avoid the exchange

from section 1312 of the AFfordable Care Act
“the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and Congressional staff shall be health plans that are created under this Act or offered through an Exchange established under this Act.” Members of Congress and their staffs can only purchase health insurance coverage from the health insurance exchanges that are made available for uninsured Americans. The full text of this provision is available on pages 80-81 in section 1312 of the Affordable Care Act which you can read here. Members of Congress are covered by private insurance under the same system that covers all federal workers. That chit in section 1312 only applies if they want to shop it and buy their own...How likely is that?

THAT SECTION SAYS THEY CAN ONLY BE COVERED ON THE EXCHANGE. READ AGAIN.

5.signed by a president who smokes? nope, the President QUIT smoking a while back Prove it

PROVE HE DIDNT. SHOW ME A RECENT PHOTO WITH A CIGARETTE IN HIS HAND. OTHERWISE, PROVE THAT HE DIDNT SET A PRETTY EXCELLENT EXAMPLE BY DOING SOMETHING TO BE HEALTHIER...

6. with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes?,,,,,,yes and no,,, he hadnt paid the RIGHT tax amounts from 2001-2004, he has since paid those taxes plus penalties,,, So he gets a free pass because he doesn't know how to file a tax return?

THERE WAS NO FREE PASS. HE PAID THE TAX, PLUS THE INTEREST, PLUS THE PENALTIES.

7. to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese ? lol

yes, it is,,, like our taxes are overseen by many who dont have to pay a dime

or our wars by those who havent been in the military,,,,

yes,, sometimes the book knowledge and circle of counsel counts in lieu of the personal background,,,,Sometimes personal background should count, this is one of those times...lol

OPINION. EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO ONE.

8. financed by a country that's broke?

that totally depends upon whom you ask

plenty of sources claim we are and others state we are not

No, it depends on the math and the math says we're broke

THE MATH SAYS WE HAVE DEBTS, THAT DOESNT MEAN WE ARE 'BROKE'. ASK DONALD TRUMP.

You ask him, I don't need too....

I know, in these threads noone needs to ASK anything,, assuming is perfectly acceptable with no credible evidence to accompany at all....

Why furnish credible evidence? It's always replied with spin anyway.

I have a secret I want to share,,,,

in a thread of 'opinions', MOST of what is posted has a 'spin' on it used to support that personal opinion,,,,,

but that does not imply that most of what is posted is therefore LIES<,,,

See.laugh

laugh Couldn't help myself this time....
