In other words, equal opportunity does not guarantee equal results, and some people want equal results.

Nailed it! Equal opportunity doesn't guarantee equal results.

any job is NOT good enough

Back in December of 2008, I lost my job as a result of a factory closing.

Shortly afterwards, an elderly man in my church advised me to accept any job opportunity that I had even if the job did not pay as much as my previous job. Once I had the job, I could work my way up to a better-paying position.

He was correct. When I obtained a new job, I was able to work my way up, even passing some people who had been working there much longer. I ended up making as much in wages as I did in the previous job.

When a medical problem forced me to leave that job, I took another job that did not pay as much, and it was part-time. However, I made a good impression on the general manager, and I obtained full-time status more quickly than usual. A few months later, I was invited to transfer to another department and have a better-paying position.

So, a job can be good enough if you have the right attitude, even if the job does not pay you what you want right away.

a job CAN be good enough

and a test DRUG can be safe

people CAN go on to have successful relationship after rape

the list is endless of what CAN Be done, not so endless about what is USUALLY done

but

that doesnt work for a single parent,, ANY job does not do

that doesnt work either for people who have spent hundreds of thousands on schooling and degrees and EARNED a certain lifestyle that requires a certain level of BILLS BE PAID and who have families or pre school aged children who need SUPERVISION and care and a regular schedule...

when people are single they have much more options, with their time and what they can 'settle' for,,,

when people have families, its just not that simple
