Thank you for posting to my topic. I have the utmost respect for your son and all military personnel. I am sure that he will be fine. God will be with him. Thank you again for responding and i am looking forward to the reply. Don't stress too much im sure he will be fine and home before you know it.

My future son-in-law joined for two reasons. The first because he wanted to be able to support his family (marrying my daughter he inherits a daughter and the one they are having together in Sept). Working as a waiter, he knew he couldn't properly support them. Joining the Army, he figured he would have a stable income.
Second, he is going into intelligence, and he would be learning a great career.
Of course, I support his decision, but his timing on his decision was totally off.
She is due Sept 19. He finishes basic next week, gets 3 hours to see family and then goes to AIT in AZ. Going to be iffy he will be able to come home for the birth of his daughter. If he had done this back in Feb. wouldn't be a problem. His heart is in the right place but he sure needs to get better timing, lol.
