Been on here a week or so, have had no contact with anyone even when I have initiated it. What's up with that.

Hmmm how to put this..it seems pretty negative,
the profile.
Not encouraging when someone tells you what you
must be.
The might be moving on to someone less demanding.
Who sees in them, something more..valuable than looks.

I have left these things out of my ad before. I am not being superficial, I have a type that I like and I get nothing but women I am not attracted to if I don't. You can have everything in common with someone, get along great and may even really like them but if there is no physical attraction it is only a friendship. That's fine and all, I could always use more friends but that's not what I am looking for. I have seen in plenty of female ads requests for tall, athletic, men who aren't bald and so forth. How is what I say any different. I don't want someone taller than me, I prefer that they are close to a normal weight and I don't really find a large chest appealing. How is that wrong? How do you suggest I remedy this without compromising my tastes?

The difference may be, preferences versus demands.
Preferences can be overcome, in a positive way,
once you know someone.
Demands cannot.

I have removed some of the stuff in my ad. You can look to see if it's any better. I know what will happen now though, they will all come flooding in and I have to be an *** for either not responding or saying I'm not interested. I feel bad doing that, i would rather them know up front if we might be compatable than to put themselves out there and get shot down. I know how that feels, that's why i would never answer and ad where I thought they wouldn't find me attractive.

Their 'standards' may be even higher than yours.
Results=same.

I read it again, still the same negativity.
If it represents you, and who you are, you
are telling it like it is.

Nothing wrong with that.
You could get lucky :-)

The worst thing you could do is, misrepresent
yourself.

The chef here, however, does not do special orders.
What is on the menu, comes as is.

Idk...and this is constructive critisism only but I get a weird vibe from you...like a controlling vibe. What if you worded it differently? made it sound more pleasant instead of: You must be this or you must be that.

Maybe use words like hope and would like instead of cut and dry?

Just my opionion though.

Hello

I for one, appreciate when someone is specific in what they want. Keeps me or whoever it is that's hoping to find someone from getting their hopes up for nothing. HONESTY, ALWAYS wins out. Keep being real. Better than someone hoping for something that isn't to be. of course, be honest without being "brutal"....

From MY point of view Conny you should start with a better profile photo, a shower curtain is not a flattering background, & maybe a nicer hairstyle & a bit of make-up would work.(lets be honest, most of us would like to date an attractive person)
Secondly, the God thing doesn't do it for me at all, if you do attend church that's fine, but as you aren't a nun, then your potential partner should be the 1st criterion in your ad & not that it is a must to be a bible basher!

Good luck.
