Topic: True Love Exists or not ?

In my opinion love, which may be true or of other types, can't exist.

It is a sort of thing that is not an "existential" thing.

Do fish exist? yes.

Do societies exist? Yes.

Does war exist? Yes.

Does hunger exist? No. It happens. Without existing. Hunger is a construct of many things combined, in their interaction; hunger is not a unit in existence, but the perceived manifestation of many things together. Take a few of those many things away from the complex event, and leave some of the other things there, and hunger will not happen.

Similarly, do colours exist? Do prices of things in stores exist?

There is an immense number of concepts we use in language, which do not exist, although they can be defined very nicely, compactly, and comprehensibly.

But they don't exist.

Love is such a thing. It is existentially impossible, love is.

Careful! Some of those new mechanical artificial tickers can weigh up to 12 Kg (or 25 lbs.)

You don't want to fall in love, mutually, with no heartbreak predictable at all whatsoever, only to stand on the bathroom scale one morning when your true lover stands there, and he sees, that you are not 105 lbs but 16p. he will be heartbroken, and you will be too.

Easier to just say "no". Nancy Reagan was the first do discover the essential truth in that. It is also safer, more virtuous and more righteous at any given time to just say "no".

In fact, a person can rise to great political power, popularity, wealth, and personal weight, if he or she just says "no" for an entire lifetime.

This is the Nancy Raegan Book of One Habit of the Rich and Famous:

"Do you want to get rich quickly? If someone asks you that, just say "no"."
True, because if you take the questioner's advice eventually, they you will be getting poorer and poorer.

"Do you allow me to marry your daughter? If someone asks you that, just say "no"."
This is solid advice. Your daughter and her boyfriend will be forced to elope, and therefore you save an immense amount of money on the price of a wedding. They'll get married, one way or another, so no harm's done by an answer of "no".

Etc.

Okay, maybe one more, to make myself entirely clear.

"Let me count the ways: How do I love thee? if a guy asks you this, just say "no"."
Take the advice, please, if this situation comes up, because you don't want to spend your life with a wishy-washy guy who is not in touch with his own feelings.

Love is like God. There is no such thing.

yes, where there is no God, there is no Love

but many do accept God in their life, and many find Love,,,,

Does God exist? Inasmuch as God COULD be an existential entity, yes. We don't know that, however, while we fully know that a chair we sit on exist.

God is a myth, but a probable myth. Does that make Him exist?

This is a real douser, in existentialist elocutrafaction, or in experientialist elepropation.

The concept is really easy; there is one question (does God exist) and there are two answers, namely, "yes, God exists" and "no, god does not exist". Both answers are dead easy to understnad, the concepts are incredibly simplex. But at the same time of facing incredible simplicity in the question and the answers, both answers depend on the assumed existence or else assumed non-existence of god, and both answers are both theoretically (in an a priori way) and existentially (experientially) completely nonsensical.

This is the reason why, although one or the other answer must be true, nobody can make a foolproof proof to support one or the other of the two answers.

---------------

Edit: inasmuch as the above is acceptable, any speaker or writer must be careful to avoid hanging an idea's validity either on the existence of god, or on the non-existence of god.

That is, if a speaker or writer makes the existence of god or the non-existence of the same a premiss of the speaker/writer's own point, the convincing power or the proof is shattered right there and there before an audience of non-homogeneous support for the assumption's validity.

In other words, in almost no Hollywood movies or political speeches are there heavy undertones of a god's existence. The news reporting does not say "god willed the helicopter to collide with the nuclear submarine". No. Anyone who wants to report a thing or convince others of something, had better stay away from invoking god or god's non-existence, otherwise the writer/spearer is guaranteed to lose at least some of his audience in today's world.

I wish I had a dollar for every post I read like this...

Haha... I do. I have two thousand seven hundred and forty-eight dollars.

Which means... if your total liquid assests in cash and bank deposits amount to more than that, you'd better rescind that wish, otherwise God may love the extant excess away from you.

In love there is a beginning without an end, love is something that stays with you forever, this is our gift to one another. Love like everything else has to be taken care off, it has to be nurtured, it is sacred part of whom we are. There are many descriptions of love because there are may types and stages. Some will describe it as a symphony, a dance, a rhythm, others will relate it to nature. People are strangely puzzled why they cant find love? What they really mean is, why cant they love the next person that comes into their life. You already found love, love is you, love is your own feeling and experience towards others, all you have to do is commit to love. Love does wonderful things to us when we are counting on new beginnings. You don’t have to close your eyes to see love, love is standing always in front of us, we just have to lean forward and embrace it through a commitment.

People in general have problems expressing love towards one another, especially men in relationships. They see it as a weakness. However, love is strength and fear of love is our weakness.

Here is quote we should all embrace

"Saying I LOVE YOU is a major decision in one's life. Those words should be kept in your heart until you're ready to commit, to fight for that feeling and to stand by those words forever."
