Encircled by friends,
yet still alone
If the stairway to Heaven I could scale,
Ever upward I would climb.
Call your precious name.
Catch the last train
If only to be by your side
Again.
Gone before your time
You are.
The only question I ask,
"Why"?
Relentlessly my tears flow
Alas, silently,
I say goodbye,
let go,
Dreaming of the day,
Someday,
at your side,
I stand again.
