I think you can love and hate someone at the same time........

such strong emotions can't exactly be generalized. you either hate the one or love the other. the light switch rule -it's on or off(no dimmer knob).

It takes just as much energy and emotion to hate something as it does to love it, maybe that's the fine line?...

one can hate certain attributes of another's personality, or behaviors; and still passionately love them.

I agree,I love my son with all my heart.But hate some of his choices.I'll always love him,but don't have to like him at times.If that makes any sense.

i seem to play with high stakes ...an expensive game ..i give a lot and so i also hurt alot ...it's all part of the territory and it's all good with me.

I know some relationship bring out the worse in people. My last relationship was like that, and it still baffles me. My ex and I just brought the worse out in each other, but we loved each other. There were parts of that relationship we both hated, but we loved on another. Eventually we broke up and parted ways in the most caring, sensible, and respectful manner we could.
