Do you get the feeling that profiles with only a single photo in them are fly-by-night looky lews? I have been getting messages and nudges from men who just disappear after a few days. Most of them are at least 20 years younger than me. |

Yup, it seems to be very common on the site...I guess that kinda comes with it being free...Maybe(?).
I also tend to get contacted by a lot of people that randomly de-activate their profile all the time. And maybe its the time i usually connect by i get messages from guys from India and Pakistan all the time, it is weird hahaha! |

Anyone else get those friendship offers with "I saw your picture and I have to tell you I'm deeply in love with you and want to spend the rest of my life with you"? Really? What kind of crap is that? You don't know me. You don't know anything about me. I could be a crazy serial killer and you'd never even know. Really people? Love isn't just a word. It takes me a VERY long time to decide if I love someone. With the exception of my children and my immediate family, I'm not sure I actually "love" anyone. Sorry...DECLINE.

LOL that one is new to me...but again i have being on the site for only a few days. That said, i have got 1 marriage proposal from a guy in India...i was like "WTF O_o??"... specially because of what my profile says that i am looking for XD.

Sometimes selecting a picture is like selecting a Hallmark card. A guy will look at one, and think, "this'll do," and run with it. He may not have many of himself. I know I don't, unless I post one from 20 years ago. And what's with the ladies who post one of themselves, and 10 of their pets?

Well if she post 1 of her self and 10 of her pets, it just mean that she is a lonely person...or a crazy old cat lady :P take your pick hahaha.
And i don't know about others, but i don't have a problem with old pictures, as long as there is a recent one...also i find interesting to watch random pictures in others people profiles. |

I know I don't, unless I post one from 20 years ago. And what's with the ladies who post one of themselves, and 10 of their pets? I turned down the marriage proposal from Nigeria. Okay Retromash, if you have a webcam on your computer, it is very easy to take some pictures of yourself that are up to date. |

I know I don't, unless I post one from 20 years ago. And what's with the ladies who post one of themselves, and 10 of their pets? I turned down the marriage proposal from Nigeria. Yeah...like you, i don't have that many pics of "just me", but when someone messages me and asks to see more pics, i simply refer them to my facebook page and they can flip through all the pics i have posted there til they get as sleepy as i do...... But geez..i never thought posting only a single pic would qualify me for induction into the fly-by-night looky lews club. My rant is with all those women who post no pic, and/or hide behind "No Answer" in some or all of their interview questions. How should they be tagged? |

Some photos are fake. True...but you really can't be skeptical about it. I mean it is the Internet...everything can be fake here. Even if the person has 100 pictures they all can be stolen from an other person... background stories can be easily made, hell if you think about it, until you meet the person face to face you cant even know for sure the sex of that individual...voice can be modified through programs in real time, you can even hack programs to displace fake video...See? PARANOIA hahahaha, always assume that what the other person is saying / showing is true other wise you will drive yourself crazy plus...all relationships, no matter how superficial they may be, require certain level of trust. |

Only one photo kind of seems like a half hearted effort at introduceing yourself or your interests.
I am not going to waste my time tracking down someones Facebook account or any of the other sites to see if they have a "better" or "contradicting" profile elsewhere for the first contacts. If your first impression is you are lazy or disinterested in the site and or dateing from here why would I take that person seriously? Kind of a you get out what you put in. Someone who clearly does not take the time to read the profile and responds only to a photo is not going to generate the time it takes me to respond to their mail. |

I don't really have a favorite scary movie. Hmmm..maybe Hellraiser. Either way, how do I sound like a legitimate male without having any surgery or taking male hormones?
