She Called Me . . .


She called me . . .
the word man
a poet
who wrote pictures
that told the story of her emotions

She said I . . . touched her
with my pen
as I told the story
of her heartaches
and loves
she said . . . they were too much
my words
they made her feel
the darkness
the loneliness
the pain
of wanting something so much
yet could not have
because it was so far away

So I . . . placed the pen
on the empty pad
afraid
to write again
afraid
to paint
afraid
to make her feel
what was in my soul as I tried to tell her . . . I wanted to be
more than friends
and that every letter
of every word
was my story
and she was my too far away

That made me sad it was a great write. Don't ever put the pen down you have so much to say
