Topic: Seeing Love for What It Is | |
---|---|
Then she said to him,:"How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me?" (Judges 16:15) Because of our longing for relationship we are often quick to accept love crumbs from a man's table. Knowing the attributes and behavioral patterns of true love helps us to be more discening. Choosing to be honest with ourselves even when it hurts is the only safeguard against repeatedly being a victim in romantic relationships. Being established in God's design for love makes us whole individuals that no longer need to be rescued. We are free to see clearly and choose wisely in the affairs of the heart. I love the LORD, because He has heard my vioce and my supplications. (Psalm 116:1) ![]() |
