Arguably...There are far better methods of meeting people than jumping out and saying "Let's meet!"
My experience has been that it scares them just as much in real life as on the internet, if not more because I usually follow it with a comment of how we can check out my wine cellar afterwards. This is why no one lets me have nice things.

I agree that it's time consuming and frequently disappointing as people are often much different IRL than they are online. I stopped Internet dating quite a while ago but there are some who have found their soul mates here.

Humm did you consider that maybe in reality they did not want to meet and that was their excuse... Some try to at least keep it nice...
Believe me if someone contacts me and I truly want to meet them it will be soon.. Normally I'm the one that brings up meeting first... Which most the time is best to let the women ask.. If they live close and they don't suggest it within a couple a weeks I would suggest to speak up and ask them...Because some women still like the guys to ask them... Now if you have in your profile your looking for a good time or just sex only then hell I would not even meet them.... Myself I'm looking for local.... I have meet a few and many either have pictures that are old can't hardly see them or they look nothing like their pictures. Ohh and I'm really very clear the first meet I pay my way you pay yours.... If it goes any farther then I'm good with him paying if he wants too or we can go dutch a few times to get to know each other...I've never been shy to pick up a check..I've never felt the guy should pay for everything we all work for a reason.... All I can say if things don't work out at times one should look at how they are doing it first and make sure that the problem is not themselves first~~~~~~~  |

I have met 4 people from this site IRL. There are lots of real folks here. It just takes longer to meet in person. Patience is a virtue. I don't have a current pic up because I was gone for four months and right now I'm accessing the site through my phone so I can't upload a new pic. Plus, I'm shy. Good to see you back!!! I've enjoyed your posts. As a side note: I do remember your pics as I'm sure most regulars here do too. Hope to read more from you as you find the time
