Is it just me or does anyone else look at a new thread and when the poster can't seem to say the first three words of their sentence. Does it make your head hurt? Do you suddenly feel like like you need to take a nap after trying to figure out what that person just said. Or maybe you get like half way through and figure banging your head against the wall would be more enjoyable?

Doesn't bother me much as long as they're trying...English is a complicated language, and effort is admirable; especially given most who grew up with only English can hardly use it effectively.

Well considering my experience has taught me that really bad grammar and spelling usually means scammer. It's just sad to see that so many of them will starve because they can't communicate effectively enough to steal the money they need to make a living. It's just really sad. lol

But like last night I was looking through posts and saw four or five threads that way and one I just gave up on even trying to understand.

It's a bit ironic that you spelled grammar incorrectly.

I spelled it the same way you just did. Plus I just googled it and google indicates it is correct. You sure you didn't just turn a letter into something that it wasn't? Like maybe you turned one of the A's into an E?

I've done the same thing before. But I am actually a bad speller and I love spell check because of that and when spell check fails. Google usually saves the day. lol

Well making fun of others at how they are trying to communicate and your opinion is that it is not up to your standards. Sorry but that chit doesn't sit very well with me. Nothing personal brother just my simple minded opinion........

That's cool dude. Doesn't bother me you have a different opinion. But it also makes me wonder how many of those ones that can't write that well are scammers. I'm not looking at every profile to give my opinion on those. But it's been my experience that people like that are usually scammers. I know there are bound to be those who aren't. Who are genuinely looking for a partner through life.

But like one I saw last night that I gave up on reading. I don't think I saw the dude use one consonant. Even a translator program wouldn't have done that. If that guy was truly looking for the love of his live on this site where most of the people from what I see speak English. Then he's going to have a hard time and that sucks.

I'm more suspicious of profiles like that because of the history I have had with them. When I see that they aren't getting booted and they keep on posting. then I am more likely to relax on them. But I expect that either one those profiles are getting taken down by admins because they are scammers or they really just can't get anywhere with the language barrier and they delete their own profiles.

It would be like me getting on a Russian dating site and expecting to find love when I don't speak a word of Russian. Why would I do that to myself? IT seems a person with that kind of language barrier could better spend their time on a site with people they can understand and who understand them. Wouldn't you agree with that?

I've seen a few people posting on the forums here who have problems communicating. But they can usually do well enough to say what they want and be understood.

People communicate here through writing. If it's too hard to follow what they've written, I'm not going to bother with them. I don't have the time or patience to translate.

Exactly. Then don't bother with them but don't sit up on a pedestal and make fun of them. That was my point darlin......

I didn't post anything on any of those profiles. I looked at what they wrote and how hard it was to read and left. No point in trying to communicate with someone you can't understand. Least not in that situation.

My rule of thumb is that punctuation is your friend. Nothing worse than an entire paragraph with no punctuation whatsoever and no caps.
