I am a all around happy person who is always laughing and seeing the good in everything,
Has anyone ever been so depressed they were physically sick. and actually felt like they were going to die? Then just out of no where you wake up a few days later and it is pretty much over?

Yes, I can honestly say that I have had those times. Very rarely, but yes. It's just a matter of recovering from whatever made you so depressed.

It was something out of my control, and always will be.

it might be a pyscal thing or a mental one as well or both. either way if it keeps up go to the doctor. but only if u feel that u need to go.

don't actually feel like I am going to die....but feel pretty crappy when it hits....

Correct me if I am wrong..I have researched depression, anxiety and panic....

my symptoms with my situation fall more under anxiety and panic...when it hits hard..it's horrible...

feel better.. flowerforyou

The weird thing is, I have worked Psychology/Behavioral Health for 16 years and I was CLUELESS on how to snap out of it. I just kept telling myself it will pass as it always does. I have not been down like that for YEARSSSS so it was kind of scary

When you approach 40 your body starts getting a little out of whack anyways, and you know the body and mind work together.

GG2 u r so right.....

I don't handle some anxieties like I used to....

I firmly believe hormones also play a huge role in this...

Late 30's major drops in esterogen...doesn't help us woman at all..men I have no clue about....

What happens when you don't "snap" out of it. You just bury it so deep inside so you can function "normally". What happens that you can't bury it anymore?

I don't know GG. Sometimes popping a pill and spilling you guts out to someone who doesn't even know you is not always the answer. And how do you deal with the depression when there is no answer. I lost my baby three years ago and there is no pill in the world or no amount of talking to a professional that is going to take this feeling away.

No, but I've felt so
depressed I felt that
there was no light at
the tunnel and all that
is left for me is getting
old and dying.

Oh wait. I still feel that way.
