Hi JSH,

A couple days ago there was a thread on A/V systems. Today while I was writing I started thinking that I know that a lot of you listen to music, and watch movies. This gave me an idea. Why don't I share some of my reviews, or answer some of your questions on A/V, or recording studio systems. The only thing would be that I don't want to self promote so any questions about my own personal designs would need to be off limits. I don't mind giving out credits of any kind, so that you know that I'm qualified, but past this I would just be willing to help.

I'll leave it at that for now, then check in to see if I can be of any help.

I do ask one more thing. This thread needs to be positive or I won't participate. Entertainment is way to fun for me, and I have a personal positive policy. Once the Vibe gets un-Vibed it's hard to get it back.

Enjoy the music, and let me know if this is something you are interested in.

hey mg

i checked yer references you listed in the other thread

-----place thumbs up emoticon here-----

my question may be off field a little

the 1/8 sound plug on the laptop used for djing
got broken by hitting the plug on the wire while it
was plugged in

i got an usb sound adapter it works fine till i plug in other
usb hard drives and usb mouse (4 usb items)

then i get a high pitch like the last three slides on the equalizerare slide past the highest limit

i remove the laptop and use a differnt one with a good plug
works fine

so can you suggest a good usb adapter or sound device that is not overly expensive

or should i plan on fixing the sound card issue

thx

Hi adj4u,

Mass always takes away from sound quality. Having the sound card fixed is the best bet.

Now is a great time to buy electronics. Performance is at a real high, and prices are at a real low.

BTW, I was hoping to do a lot more on here to help people, but some big projects kinda knocked me off of the spare time box. Sorry for that. Many of you know my magazine, your always welcome there, but I'll try to check in more often here if any one is interested.

if not that's cool too
