Yes, there IS such a thing as Christian metal music, and it can get pretty brutal, thrashy, (un)black, dark, powerful, grind-noisy, sludgy, Gothic, and pretty much any subgenre you can find! A good primer for you is NOT K-LOVE, NOT Air1, and not really even Effect Radio (but they're trying, sort of). Your best bet in on the web (no towers, boo hoo) at Sanctus Gladius Radio: http://sanctusgladius.com/ And any like-minded people feel free to (I hope this forum lets us) post music/favorite bands! I'll start first, you post the next, and let's see where all this leads :D

Guess I only got into Mortification, or No Innocent Victim and Stryper back in the day.(90's) Funny thing is...To Hell with the Devil was the 1st Hair/Metal album I owned.:banana:

I'm not religious, but I do enjoy some of Disturbed's material involving faith. Inside the Fire and Overburdened are particularly effective, imo.

As I Lay Dying got me into CM.there are so many great cm bands yet so many too have been disbanded.Underneath The Gun,With Blood Comes Cleansing,The Chariot etc.
i prefer listen to deathcore such as Unto The Beast,I Built The Cross,As They Sleep,See The Light
