Okay..

In all seriousness..

I have had a little mouse roaming around my house for the last 3 to 4 weeks.. Heck I think he's moving in.. I have put traps out baited them, can't catch him.. and he's driving me crazy... Not scared of him at all hell he hasn't grown much cause he has nothing to eat on I think since the traps didn't work the first 2 times.. How do I get rid of it???

Next question is why in the hell is he in the house anyway??? It's been 90 to 100* here....

Help!!!!

place a small amount of peanut butter on the bait area of the spring type trap, that has always been an effective bait to use for mice

Dave..

Thanks..

have done that the little ba**ard keeps stealing it and he gets away...

Think I'll just move..

The sad thing is I have trapped him in the house because I have put steel wool in any hole I can find.. = a couple.. just can't get it out of my house... !

Have you tried those sticky fly paper type traps?? They really work. They get stuck and can't get off of them. It may have come in to the house to get away from the heat or looking for water. Had one in Spokane when I lived in the apartment, got the fly paper type trap and the dog actually chased it under the door and onto the trap, it kept avoiding the trap, but the dog spooked it and it ran onto it. Could try unblocking one of the holes and seeing if it leaves?? Or borrow a cat from someone to scare it out too.

Try mixing some boric acid with wet cat food and a little strawberry jam. He's going to think he has a sweet treat and and it'll kill him in the process. Of course don't use it around pets of any kind.
Hope it works.

I have not tried the sticky trap because I have a friend that caught a mouse on one of them and when she went to dispose of it the lil mouse bit her finger cause it wasn't dead it was just stuck!

But I will cowboy up and try one.

I have to say those lil animals can be really sneaky I guess..

Maybe I should buy a Boa and have it as my guard dog??!!!

I have set out decon and it worked wonders, and they disappear after time so there is no remains, do not use in the open if there are any pets or children around

Those sticky traps are cruel!!! They get stuck and live for some time on them- crueley dying. The snap traps are quicker
and get it over with faster...

COARSE YOU COULD BUY A LIVE TRAP,CATCH IT, AND FREE IT OUTSIDE.

What are you baiting the traps with?

They like cheese and peanut butter.

Poor mouse...

if u really don't want the mouse around, if u have a friend who owns a ferret that will do the thing, let the ferret run around and just the smell of it the mouse will leave.

Ruthies, I dont know what kind of bait you are using, but have you tried peanut butter, it works great. The peanut butter, sticks better to the trap, cant be taken without springing it. those cute little critters have a knack of stealing anything else, without springing the trap at the right time.......Sandy and Wolfie
