I'm almost at the point where I can laugh at him now!!
....he contacts me last weekend telling me that he needs my friendship as he thinks he's becoming an alcoholic because of his stress. I tell him I'm here to TALK anytime, I AM his friend. All week long he texts me how grateful he is that I will still be there for him....then the kicker comes...."Lets get together and hang out, No strings attached."  So I sayssss....We need to talk about a lot of things first before I agree to see you again. Guess what??? He hasn't contacted me again since Thursday.  Not playn his game no more!!! |

Ouch. The behavior of an ex can be bizarre and manipulative, for sure! Hang in there. . .eventually the emotional roller-coaster will level out, the pain will subside, and you will establish a new "normal" in your life. Sounds like you're handling this situation with dignity and self-respect, and I'm proud of you for that!

OK now....
Last weekend the last text was that he was watching a movie all alone (one we watched together in the past). I responded with.."that was your choice". No response. No contact all week until last night. Then I get a text how miserable he is and if he had a gun, he would tell me goodbye. Blah blah blah, I think the man needs counseling. Seriously. Of course he was drunk & lonely and feeling regretful . Last step here is to block him off my phone. I don't want to change my number though. I just want to be done and move on. |
