What are the reasons younger women enjoy older men......

MONEYslaphead

Nah... When I was younger, I liked the experienced older man.

Now that I'm older... I realized they just seemed experienced to my 18 years of life.

Now, I teach my girls better.. my 23 yr old , thinks 30 and up is just creepy

Wow, if I said something like that about older women...

What? I don't think Men My OWN age are creepy... but my 23 yr old thinks they are creepy!

In my opinion it is because men grow more handsome as they grow older up to the age of 60, before they start to show the signs of aging, which makes older men attractive to the ladies of all ages.

Yes and some women look better with age as well.
But the OP sure looks good for 58 drool

I would not assume older men are less into "playing" many think to have affairs on the wife at about 40 or 50. most of the older men in my age range I have talked to on here are still married or "claim" to be in the process of a separation (the ones I have talked to PM long enough to find that out). no thanks.

so just be careful

When they really are SINGLE, I do like men my own age. I have grown not to trust that they really are single, however.

What I'm saying is... I teach my girls that Age doesn't equate knowledge or intelligence.
It just means a man 30 and up has been on the earth longer.
That's it.
It's up to them to decide who they want to have a relationship with.
My girls have a great relationship with their Dad, so no Daddy issues to work out.

Well, I think that it's absurd to say that knowledge doesn't come from experience. When your girls were babies did they already have knowledge, or experience? No and I didn't have the knowledge or experience that I do now when I was eighteen.

If there's no difference between younger and older men, and age is just a number (which is what you're saying amounts to), do you think that the same holds for women, or is it just us stupid males that are incapable of learning anything through experience?

However, you swing it TAWT, Age does not EQUATE knowledge.
When I was 18, I was attracted to older men because I thought they held a wealth of knowledge that would benefit me.
CLEARLY I was wrong.

A 30 yr old man, interested in an 18 yr old girl... only has 1 item of experience to show her! Regardless of how smart or worldly She believes herself to be.

There is a BIG differnce between older and younger men, Younger men don't know any better... Older men should!

Let's be clear about older men... a 50 yr old man dating a 35 yr old woman.. That's fine, No one gives a ****

30-35 yr old dating 18-21 yr old girl.. no, It's harmful.

Oh really? What's harmful about it, pray tell?

I dated a girl half my age last year and she told me that she liked older men for their maturity and experience. For sure I knew things that I had learned through experience that we talked about. She was living the same sort of lifestyle that I did at her age. If I had a daughter I would like to think that I was in a position to impart some of my knowledge and experience in a similar way but according to you, that's not possible, although you somehow managed as a female to learn things that you say that you were ignorant about at eighteen that you can teach your girls. Can't you see how contradictory that is?

Not contradiction in this.

I was an 18 yr old girl, attracted to older men. What can a 40 yr old man, tell my 19 yr old girl that is more useful than I, once 18 yr old girl, could tell her?

Young girls, do tend to hold more stock in what an older man says, NOT taking into account that anything He says could be self serving.

and It's harmful... because girls, ( 18 to 25) getting involved with men 10 to 15 years her senior, Never realize what they are giving up to be in relationships like that.

I KNOW from where I speak! Their Dad, great guy, but I gave up many youthful years to be the ADULT, I thought he wanted.

In other words, you don't want your girls listening to a man more than they listen to you. A man could tell your daughters plenty of things that you couldn't and my father told me plenty of things that my mother couldn't or wouldn't. You don't have the monopoly on life experience and you don't know everything. All that you're talking about is telling your girls what you think that men are like; or that's how it seems to me.

What if your daughter gets involved in a situation that you have no experience with? Fair enough to say that a woman is more qualified to teach girls about certain things like tampons and having babies but like it or not, a time comes when kids are going to pay more attention to their friends and partners than they are too their parents and I would say that if that happens, you would want them to be listening to someone with a bit of maturity.

Your statements are contradictory. You say that there's no difference and then you say that there is. You talk about how you don't want your girls to make the same mistakes that you did. I'm saying that I dated a younger woman and I saw her making the same mistakes that I did at her age because I was living the same lifestyle and was immature at her age. It was stuff that I had experience with, which I'll wager that you don't and even if you do, you are just going to have to accept that your girls are adults now and are going to live their own lives and not consider you the ultimate authority about everything like they are five year olds.

I'm not a " Do as I say, Not as I do Mom"
I keep no secrets from my kids when it comes to my choices. I tell Why I made the choice that I made, and WHY it was a mistake for me.

My girls learn from whomever has their BEST interest at heart.

Can you tell me, if you are dating a 22 yr old girl... and she wishes to leave for school, but YOU love her, Would you advise her for her benefit or yours?
She wants to go to Spring break with OTHER kids her age.. Do you advise to go elsewhere with YOU or Party on at Spring Break with her friends?
To me there is no upside for a 18- 21 yr old to date 30-40 yr old man.

Look, the girl that I was dating was twenty three and she was "at school" and I didn't have a problem with that and she told me all about how she wanted to be a nurse and I thought that was cool.

As far as partying with her friends goes; yeah, she did that and I didn't say that she shouldn't, even though from what she told me about them, they sounded a bit dodgy and not what you could really call good influences. Well, the girl was looking for a bit of stability and she had a chaotic lifestyle and was hanging about with a bunch of dodgy people and she didn't have the advantage of a good family. I wasn't too happy when she wanted to spend more time with them than she did with me but it wasn't that so much and those "friends" of hers weren't all a bunch of young people going on "Spring break". They were the sort of people that you wouldn't want your daughter hanging about with and it did end up badly for her.

Oh you mean to tuck her in, like her Dad?

kidding....

As a mother of a 19 and 23 yr old young ladies... I don't want my girls with a man, who's had 2 or 3 wives and kids that are close to their age. It's baggage.
Baggage that no parent wants for their " just starting out in life"
kid.

Come to think of it... the very reason I don't want MY kid with a 40 yr old man, is the reason I PREFER men my own age.
They are, more than likely, going through what I am at this juncture in life.

My girls.. BARELY pick up after themselves, call me when they are sick.. They still have childrens minds... What I suspect MOST under 25yr olds have.
Of course, Some 25yr olds are wise beyond their years.. but NOT many.

Reading what you just described... she was looking for a father figure. That can't be good for you either!
