I am an independent thinker and do my own sourcing.

Oh. Just like the owners of Snopes.

You should try it sometime.

I do it all of the time, which is why I don't buy the false negative claims that are frequently promoted in this forum.

whoa

That is how I feel about the false negative claims that I keep reading when visiting this forum.

So, the OP of this thread is quoting a claim coming from an anti-liberal online tabloid.

So just what is anti-liberal? Would it just be those that believe a conservative view would be a better solution? How about those looking for the truth that believes liberals seldom tell the truth and therefore post a different synopsis?

How pathetic.

I would definitely agree that your prior statement was pathetic. Really should look at those that oppose as well as those that support. May find a lot of blind support amongst some well proven opposition.

I will summarize what that tabloid and the Obama-haters here want everyone to believe:

"Waah! Snopes keeps debunking the false negative rumors about President Obama that Obama-haters keep promoting. So, we must destroy Snopes."

And here I would have to agree with you, based on the above, that would be your exact perception, but perceptions like the flipping of a coin tends to have a very wavering outcome.

Well sir, I would just have to label that a blatant lie, very seldom is any perception posted by yourself referenced. And on the rare occasions when it is, one needs skis.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what is not true; the other is to refuse to accept what is true.

I've come to realize that the biggest problem anywhere in the world is that people's perception of reality are compulsively filtered through the screening mesh of what they want, and do not want, to be true.

The complain in the OP is that the owners of Snopes actually do their own research, as if they were not capable of doing so.

Yet, each Snopes article ends with a list of sources that Snopes obtained its information from, which is what researchers do.

In contrast, worldtruth.tv does not provide a list of its sources in its commentary about Snopes.

But what is worldtruth.tv? What are their methods and training that gives them the authority to decide what is true and what is not?

That is the question of which many are totally ill equipped to answer.

Human beings should consider with great care their sources for information. By refusing to present certain information, and by influencing people to dismiss certain information as unimportant or unnecessary to consider, many modern institutions seek to control human perceptions and therefore to limit what human beings may come to understand.

And the totally idiocy of the masses, almost none even bother to check sources. And to those that do, do they verify the root of that source? And with this convenient list, absolutely none that would believe the veracity of the information presented would dare check to see if perhaps there are opposing sources, which it seems these self appointed researchers have been caught at more then a few times. Also their stated expertise is to verify or dispute rumors circulating in on twitter and facebook, such an intelligent and discriminating crowd.

But worldtruth.tv, that is another whole story, definitely not something that the ignorant masses want to get near but to ones capable of free thought, an excellent source. Everything is a dare right to your face to dispute the information.

But that's right, truth:

This gentleman could be the world's largest fruitcake, or a man with a profound experience, or somewhere in between, but there is no doubt that his statement offers a very real and profound view of the mind of man.
