i am terror
sucking the last drops of darkness
until reeking from the stench
of horror

i am light
iridescence glimmering
not just for anyone
but blinding in sight
magnetic in control
never easily gone

i am a warrior
cunning but cowardly
swift but surely
deranged and complicated
the existential woe of another
their eyes
piercing directly
my job, stagnant
but welcoming
a change

i am nothingness
all but once felt in a kiss
greedily swallowing the last shallow
life i protected as mine
belonging to the dirty window
now
i strive
to live and breathe
destiny grabs hold tightly
making the feeling more than
what it seems

i am wild at heart
crawling to a brink of
calming self-indulgence
of generous words and soft whispers
my favorite part
seeing i am more than what i am
being what i came here to be
diving head first into the pit of life's
danger,
the uncanny mystery
of onlookers
watching meticulously
let them
in the end
i always win

i am love, air
earth of wonder
never not here
as jealous eyes glare

ghosts of a memory fall back
forward time, ghetto worlds
broken dreams toward something
anything
a new mind
new journey waiting for
imagination to write
stories galore
powerful knowing
waiting for the moment to
live that much more
