I've felt loneliness
engulfing me
like a sea, early in the morning
or a day, rainy and grey
a drowning, in salty tears
a restlessness within me
am I longing to roam the sea
discovering
then moving onto an unseen horizon
never knowing what propels
searching
not being able to put into words for what
and still
a loneliness
weighs within my heart
and as the winter wind
goes through an abandoned house
I'm in all the rooms
maybe someday
I will find
my something
or maybe I've already
found my something
but can't recognize it
until I do
I am alone
within this house
within this cold, grey day
within my salty tears
