Apparently it has been a slow building stream of young adults/children coming from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatamawhatever. Apparently they are crossing the border and turning themselves into the border patrol, hoping to get a hearing and permanent status. The numbers are so high as to be completely overwhelming the system. These are not people sneaking into the country but straight into the system and the number is in the tens of thousands. Housing, transporting, feeding and processing these numbers is overwhelming the system. In fact the border patrol is so busy they have not had time to randomly shoot across the border and kill any innocent Mexicans. At least this is my understanding and I could be wrong. I saw a late night FOX News host (whose face was so tight, one more facelift and she'd have a pubic goatee), claim Obama was luring them here to change the demographics. Also, as they are turning themselves in, I don't see how Perry's want to secure the border will do anything.
