Report away! It may be time consuming but it's certainly not something that the moderators can do on their own since it sounds like there are so many. I'm new to the whole website so don't know the ins and outs of the scammer business but it sounds like a serious issue. And not just here but everywhere.

Agrees as I was scammed a bit back and learned a hard lesson. Was not taken as badly as some other women but still taken. When they start asking straight out for personal information, professing their love for you within hours or even few days RUN and most of them cant even call you on the phone for many different reasons, non of which makes sense. The one that nailed me wanted me to set up paypal account in my name (didn't) then wanted me to set up checking account the same. Havent spoken with him since, thank goodness.

Scammers.....What to tell about those people??? In fact, I'm less than one month here, in Mingle2. Unlike the others, I was not a victime of a scammer, but I was treated and accused to be, myself, a scammer by the first lady I contacted and for whom I sent several messages for a serious and a distant relationship (like she suggested!!). First time, I thought that the messages I sent for her, didn't reach her. After the third message, I get an answer from her and she told me that she didn't reply because she thought that I was a scammer. I was happy to know that her silence happened just because of this miscomprehension. So, I sent her a fourth message and then, the next day, I was disappointed to find that she blocked me. I'm ALGERIAN. I live in Algeria. It doesn't mean and it is totally wrong to think that because some countries have bad reputation, all people living in these countries are bad, too. Most of my friends are, now, living outside Algeria. They get married with women from USA, Canada, Australia, East and West European countries, Rusia... And they are still together and they lead a happy and pleasant couple life. Scammers are everywhere, they are existing in every county. Perheps it is someone who is very close to you, who knows you, very well. So, to be affraid of someone because he is from a distant country without speaking with him a single time, without giving him a chance to show himself what really he or she is, is not a fair judgement. I think that the best thing to do when we have a doubt that the other person from the other side is a scammer, we have just to ask him to use and to chat via the webcam. First, you will have the idea about the person you are talking with. Then, all a long conversations and discussions, one can deduce the need and the real intentions of each other (if they are true or there is something wrong about it).

It is a dating site, We are said to have conversations and change ideas, first. After a while, if it doesn't mutch, unless we don't keep in touch as friends, we can say good bye for each other and try to find the other suitable half.

As some have said if you don' take the time to report them it makes it harder to find some of them. Scammers 98% of the time do not post within the forums. So the complaints are falling on deaf ears.

REPORT REPORT REPORT...Admin gets all the reports and deals with them. The MODS are here to help out with the forum issues...

With that said this thread is being closed I'm sure there are a lot of Topics that can be created that is more interesting..
