Got an older P.C.? Maybe not enough memory? How about those that are still on dial up? Here's a few things you can do, that will speed up your computer.
First of all, if you using Internet Explorer, Switch to Opera Browser, or Mozzilla, I prefer Opera, it has fit to width option, plus you can right click any image or link, and save it to your P.C. It's much faster then IE.

Second, CCcleaner, is afree program that that will clean the living **** out of your p.c. Freeing up valuable space. I ran this program last night and freed up 2.5 gigs on mine.

You should have A good antivirus program, and anti spy program. AVG Free is user friendly, just install it, it does auto updating and auto scanning.

If you are running windows 2000 or better, but not Vista, You can also install AVG free Anti Spy.

For all other sytems and older 98 systems, I recommend Spy Bot Search and destroy. It is free and very thorough.

If your p.c is low on memory Fast Defrag pro is awesome. although it takes someone with alittle knowledge to set it up so it's user friendly

Once you have all these in place, and have removed the crap. I suggest defragging your hard drive, By going to Start, programs, accessories, system tools, defrag.

Any questions feel free to ask, we have many people here that are knowledgable.

Hope this helps some of you.

I didn't have any trouble with Vista at first (once I learned the different shut-down) and installed by new Word Perfect Office simply. Had no problem working on my manuscripts, etc. Then I was moonlighting doing tread-tracking spreadsheets for a commercial real estate company & trying to install MS Office --newest & supposedly compatible version(go figure!)and make my system work with the company system was a real headache!
