Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas blasted Al Sharpton for showing up in Ferguson, Missouri and ginning up angry mobs, saying he’s doing more harm than good in the black community.

According to Breitbart, Arenas says that Al Sharpton is such a polarizing figure that his inserting himself into racially-charged situations actually reduces the chances of justice being done.

Arenas also argued that the black community only hurt itself in riots, because they occur in predominantly black neighborhoods and therefore damage property owned by black families…“About 10 riots from the black community over the years and the only thing damaged, was the BLACK COMMUNITY by The BLACK COMMUNITY,” he wrote.

He also said the victim’s family would be better off seeking help from Caesar, the monkey from “Planet of the Apes.” C’mon, Gilbert, tell us how you really feel!

This coming from an African American Pro Basketball player and celebrity. I am glad to see people are finally having the courage to come out and call Sharpton out as the racist and race baiter that he really is and also admitting that he is doing more harm then good!

im glad to see that all people are free to speak their opinions publicly

or be criticized for it

I have nothing against this mans opinion, I just don't agree with it. Shining light on a situation is quite different than causing it. As I have probably stated a half dozen times,, the 'problems' in Ferguson were already occurring before Sharpton ever got there.

The idea that he is 'doing more harm than good' is pretty much standard for people who don't live in the communities he works in and rely solely on media for all they know about the Man they love to hate on,,,,

there was no attempt to discuss the 'why', here

the point was just being made about the idea of it happening 'one day'

whenever things are prevalent in the news, they will be the topic of discussion

its really not so wondrous as just 'waking up one day' to decide to talk about it,, hatefully, or supportively...lol
