Today's case of bashing President Obama for no just cause comes from the editorial board of the Tampa Bay Times: Editorial: Obama fails to lead on immigration

President Barack Obama chose partisan politics over sound public policy by punting on immigration reform until after the November elections. That cynical calculation is not likely to protect vulnerable Senate Democrats or appease Republican voters, and it gives more ammunition to the president's critics as they portray him as weak and indecisive on foreign policy and other issues. While the president and congressional Republicans blame each other for the gridlock in Washington, their failures leave millions of undocumented immigrants in the shadows and Floridians waiting for solutions.

The editorial board uses the expression "undocumented immigrants" instead of calling those people what they are - illegal immigrants.

Now, did any politicians in D.C. cause those illegal immigrants to be in the USA illegally?
Answer: No.

That newspaper's editorial board blames President Obama for the legal consequences of illegal immigrants violating the USA's immigration laws, laws that existed before Mr. Obama became POTUS.

If that editorial board were to tell what its members really thought, then its editorial would go like this:

"We want to appease the readers of our newspaper who have friends and relatives who are illegal immigrants. After all, we are a business that wants to make a profit, and we depend on Spanish-speaking people to purchase copies of our newspaper.

So, we are publicly calling for President Obama to unconstitutionally bypass Congress and grant amnesty to illegal immigrants."

President Obama has made mistakes, but refusing to bypass Congress right now isn't one of them.
