Hi all, Ever wonder about that person who has a profile and that "Looks too good to be true" Photo? There is something available both as a stand alone, and a browser plugin. It's called Tineye.

Tineye basically compares a sample image with millions of images on the internet. It is not 100% guaranteed to find a duplicate image if it exists but they are compiling their database all the time some always new images available for comparison. I use the plugin version for my browser which is free. So far I have found many multiple images elsewhere using a sample profile pic.

Yes of course a member could use that same pic on several websites and be perfectly legit. It's up to you to discern the legitimacy or not.

I hope this info is helpful to some of you. I purposely did not put a link or type the address here. Just do a search.

google image is another great tool for finding fakes and scam artists

Uh, just how do you do a web search for a particular image?

Tineye is good, but i like Google image search better. Searching an image is easy. Just right click on the photo, select copy image location and paste it into the search site. You can also drag and drop the image, which does the same ting.

One thing i should mention. You may see several results, with the photo next to the link. If you use google image search, do not assume the photo is actually on that page. Click the link to verify.

Also, many dating sites (including this one) will list results in several areas, (i believe within a one hundred mile radius, maybe 150)
