I just started using this site a little over two weeks ago. And I am HONESTLY a very nice person...but...one thing that I don't understand is why people never read someone's profile or check their filters. If I have certain things that I am looking for---even just to talk to someone on a platonic level, then why bother writing me if I tell you not to?

I think it just bothers me to realize that people don't really take the time to read about someone (obviously its just to look at pictures), before they contact them. It would save a lot of time and energy for everyone involved....and if people email me or ask to be a "friend" and don't fit criteria..well obviously..."they've been blocked"! Just a note out there to the people who get upset when someone doesn't respond to them...there are so many people on this site with different interests, don't harass people if they aren't interested :)

I can relate! I am getting married which it plainly states on my profile, but I still get e-mails from guys like "hey baby"... my picture is normally with my fiance

I got a (what I considered to be) hateful email from a guy who told me I needed professional intervention if I was looking for some guy 20 years old! I had NO idea what he was talking about until he responded to my reply stating that my profile said that. I pointed out to him that it says, Gender: Any, too. I put it that way, because in the past ppl have let me know that they wanted to email me, but because of my settings, they couldn't. It is a bit misleading, but as far as I know, that's the only way you won't block/prevent ppl from contacting you via email. I'm here to make friends, any age, any sex...I am NOT, and repeat...NOT looking for a 20-year old partner!!! Ewwwww....that's just SICK...I have children much older than that!
