I consider myself an accountant, but I handle all the buying and
selling, importing and exporting of aircraft parts all over the world. I
am usually stuck in my office but I get to travel some and meet new
people. Plus, the pay is pretty damn good for where I live. I get stuck
doing all the paperwork and bookkeeping on all this stuff too. These
engines start at a price range of $450,000 for small ones, up to 2.5
million for the bigger one

I sell home based businesses via the telephone...and I LOVE IT! I get
to talk to people from all over the United States...plus I make pretty
good money at it. Being a girl helps in my industry because I can kinda
flirt a little and get a sale that they guys might just squash...

but that's just me...

I sit in one place all day and night, I can't even get up and move
around? My office window view is the best that money can buy? I have to
talk to total stranger's everyday?
If I would fall a-sleep I could die? My boss gave me music to listen
to, it break's the torment of my view? I have to keep working, so if I
stop it must not be long. Because my boss would fire me on the spot?
Just to get a drink of water takes fifteen minute's?

YOU TELL ME WHAT DO I DO??????????????????

I love my job. I work with people and try to help them. I am a Civil
Affairs Specialist. I am basically a Social Worker. But I love what I
do. Although it means being far away from my family.

I sell truck parts for one of the big (Semitruck) manufactureres. I
moved to Colorado for a much better paying job as an outside salesman
selling our parts and service to fleets and repair shops (slightly
different than working the inside parts counter where I had been for 28+
years) but they screwed up the territory by not having anyone take care
of the customers for over 3 years! Now those people are happy with the
competition and not likely to switch to using us so they've brought me
inside to do what I've done since high school. It's easy work for me
since it's pretty much all I've known but it's more fun right now
because they were floored that from the 1st day inside I've pretty much
taken over the department like I've worked here all my life even though
their systems and operation are different than any I've used before LOL.
It's been fun to see the look of shock on my bosses faces daily just to
have found someone who knows what they're doing ROTF. Hey I told them
when they hired me I was the best in the business, now it's been
satisfying to be called into the office just so the boss can remind me I
said that and he wants to admit I wasn't exagerating ;) People outside
of "parts business" don't usually appreciate the skills it takes until
they've had to go back to NAPA for the right part 3 or 4 times.

Hummm... I'm an accountant. My firm does almost anything a small company
needs. Payroll, fiancials, sales tax, use tax, tax returns, dealing
with the banks for them. I must say I enjoy it. I work closely with
the clients.....know their families. You would be surprised what they
tell me. I always wonder if they think I'm the same as a doctor or
lawyer.....
