maybe twice i guess, a few other times

and i can say, it'll make you start acting like tom cruise too

building shelters for the alien invasion

it's a step up from crisis centers shelters

i'm only traumatized from standing there helpless, armsless, watching maniacs. i'll never forget the one woman running from her house across a lawn screaming for help, to meet a uniformed hand grabbing her skull, pulling her hair over to his squad car and denting the hood over and over again with her bloodied nose and face.

but i'm no victim.

i wonder what she was running from.

welcome to the new world odor.
i was in jail once... i was framed by some cops but thats another story... EVERY drunk that came in that night had the exact same story: after they were arrested, they were face planted into the pavement, maced, and then they added a charge of resisting arrest.
respect has to be earned, its not automatic when they put on a uniform... and they are SUPPOSED to work for us.

Well...if those drunks were driving, then maybe they deserved it just a little. Maybe after the beating they wont risk their life or the life of other innocent people. I had a best friend killed by a drunk driver...so you see where im coming from.

But as far as other incidents....yeah the police abuse there power. Not all, but some. Thats why we call them pigs.

sorry ako but at this point i dont have the luxury of assuming that the cop im dealing with at any moment is a good one. I must protect myself from any possible threat. Already been there and lost everything because of bad cops. I cant afford another 54,000 dollars in legal fees, lost job, property, and wife and kids to fight( buy) my way out from another frame up.

"Police - pigs
Back in 1809, Sir Robert Peel entered the House of Commons in London - he developed a passion for Sandy Back pigs found in Ireland and began to breed them in Tamworth. Soon, these pigs were known as Tamworth pigs. Pig slang was commonplace in Tamworth because of this, it was in 1829 that the relation to police came into it.
Politicians were concerned about the way London was policed and Sir Robert Peel changed things - his changes resulted in the formation of the Metropolitan Police. This is why police are referred to as 'Bobbies' or 'Peelers'; they were Bobby's boys...
Due to the pig nature that Tamworth had become, the police suffered the same fate as other Tamworth products did: They became related to pigs. "

So, it's thanks to the Brits, for this bit of slang, it seems.

did a little improptu research last year at the Buckley Old engine show, where im a member. The geisers who run the show seem to think its necessassary to hire uniformed Cops to patrol the show. It seemed to me that they suck the fun out of whatever they are around. People do an about face rather than walk by them. I mentioned this to the e board... but they are all stuck in the fifties where the cops were the Good guys, and just dont understand (what i think i do,) which is that they are a deterrant to the show. The place is lousy with them and we have to pay them to boot. I wish that they would at least be plain clothes, if they insist on having them there. The people who run the show think that a police presence deters crime..... i say What crime? When i go to the nascar races there are huge numbers of people. many are drunk, or at least drinking, and i have never seen a problem. As a society we are growin older, and therefore more wise. ..we dont need to be babysat like were all adolesents. ok im done ranting now.

Been on both sides of the law. There are more good cops than bad, just like people; which (by the way) they are.
I will side with law enforcement 95% of the time.
Only people I ever knew got roughed up, gave the cops a bad time.

EXCEPTIONS to EVERY RULE.

MY EXPIERENCE ALSO ENCOMPASES BOTH SIDES OF THE lAW. i have several customers who are Coppers. I dont trust any of them anymore. I would say that its more like 25 percent Good in this area. They have shot thier own man and blamed a civillian here, one Got drunk and ran over someone and got off, ( he was transferred to another post), one shot his wife and was also transferred, there are so many other things that happen here that frankly it makes me sick. here, the criminals are on the wrong side of the cage, in my opinion, which is based on a lifetime of personal expierence and observation.
