In a way, I'm glad they didn't come back to win it...I mean, if you blow a 7 game lead with 17 games left to play, you DESERVE to go home.

Still, the Phils took advantage and won when they had to...so, as much as I wanna be bitter about the whole thing, I can't..they did what any good team would do..they won when it mattered.

Good luck against the Pads (seeing they're winning right now vs. Colorado in the play-in game).

The Pads are coming back huge....I'm wondering if they can handle the Phills! They probably went out that night and go piss ass drunk! haha...they deserve it...but Thanks for not being a rude and bitter jerk. The Mets did make a great run this season...would have been a respectable match up in the final playoff game.

The sympathy meter for San Diego's running on empty here...they had plenty of chances to win before even having this game happen.

did you see the one guy from the rockies interview with that reporter and he was asked like, "did you see what happened to your teammate?"...the whole team busts out of the dugout and run and cheer while their run winning teammate is rolling around in pain, and so the guy says, "Huh, No i didn't see it what happened!?" WHAT A DOUCH!!! LOL

Hi, as a long time Philly fan (since 49) I can only say to those loyal Mets fans - is remember 1964 when we had our same kind of swan song. Things Will get better..

Yeah.....SHUT IT!...Utley and Howard are seriously blowing major ass right now....what a time to choke!

The thing that has me amazed about this...it's not Tulowitzki or Holliday or Helton or Atkins that's beating up on the Phils...it's Kaz Matsui that's doing it.

Utley going into the tank is kinda surprising...Howard getting enormous amounts of whiffs didn't (sorry but the guy kinda did set a new record for most strikeouts in a season )...Rollins is living up to expectations.

It's not lookin good for the Fightins...dunno if they can win 3 in a row, especially against a team that's on a roll like the Rockies are (they've won 16 out of their last 17...just impressive).

and you know it sucks...the Phillies shouldn't be playing the rockies anyway...he was sooo out at home plate! what a waste!

Holliday might have been out...but the fact remains, the Padres blew their chance to make it there by choking in those last 2 games against the Brewers...especially the Saturday game when Hoffman grooved one to Gwynn Jr.

And believe me, as a Mets fan, I have NO sympathy for the Padres and how they think they should be there...they didn't win when it mattered...the Rockies did...and that's why the Pads and Mets are kicking back on the couch watching this series together :sigh:

ok...true...and their pitcher who was probably their best closer just blew it under the pressure...and WTF is UP with Kaz Matsui grand slamming it in the first inning!!! He's a great ball player no doubt, but what a way to spank the morale out of the Phills... and UTLEY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING DUDE! They need to stop the bleeding now and get their heads out of their asses and play like the were before the made playoffs...NO MORE CHOKIN!!
