Being a guy, I have to admit that we are very visual creatures and do tend to gravitate toward "eye candy". Having said that, the young cuties usually lack maturity at best and intelligence at worst. Men hardly stop to consider that while they find these girls VERY attractive, how might the girls view THEM? Young cuties are not interested in dating their grandad (unless they are looking to improve their financial situation). Also older guys often have health issues like blood pressure, diabetes, weight etc and a weekend away with a youngster would likely kill them. We all need to be realistic, consider what we find attractive, BOTH physically and emotionally and also consider what we have to offer in return - a little self assessment might help us positively adjust our expectations.

1st. ms. let me tell you the truth. quitters don't get jack ****, but unsatisfactory leftovers if that.

ALso you're wrong about the older we get ... I'm 53, & i'll be 54 in jan.
i search by age from 40 - 60 usually. knowing that the 40 age range is a long shot usually and that by 60 many women as well as men are so stuck on a bunch of accumulated societa crap that i don't want them.

yet, i still have to leave my options open, so it is what it is. I have to keep moving, and if someone suitable appears I'm ready to deal with her.
i suggest the same to you sister.

i would also suggest that we not be so exclusive when deciding on who we might want to get involved in. leave room for folks who don't always feet so neatly into our comfort zones. that ups our options considerably too.

i posted in why is it so hard for older women to find love. read my post and see if i made sense to you. if you read it & you get it fine if not then you'll know why at least. take care

Hell; I am only 54 and I gave up long ago. Yep; they hit the middle age crisis and become silly little boys. This is why I volunteer to help my community as I get more out that than dating.

Yeah; it seems all the good ones that want to be with a woman their age are spoken for. My best friend is 64 and the perfect man but damn he is married. Sure wish I could clone him. LOL

There are some differences in men. I was raised the old school way full of respect, honesty and faithfulness. As I have noticed over the years too many don't have any idea what faithfulness is! I was forced to retire medically having all kinds of problems that make it more difficult to find someone that is willing to even think about looking into the possibility of anything. At 64 wishing for a better half to share the rest of my life with is a faraway dream but at least I can pray for a friendship to ease the emptiness. And no, a younger woman has never been a part of this man's dreams the way everyone seems to think. I came from the farm as a child and always believed in the way God planned it to be. Just in case anyone is reading and appreciates a positive side to these opinions going around.
