Does anybody know why the emails I am sending go to my inbox? Thanks. Cheers.

Yes. They go there because the new system now stacks the conversation all in one spot. (No more 'Sent' link.) In other words, when the person to whom you directed the email returns it, you will see the entire conversation :-)
