Bitter brew, bitter indeed,
I write no poem of love. Oh brave, gallant men, you subscribe to happily ever after, the lie that perpetuates, certain disaster, promises made, only made to be broken. Oh no, no keep your poison cup, I will not drink, your sugar cubed words that dissolve, before they sink! I can not promise that, which I do not have to give, the depth of ecstasy found deep inside, this frozen soul shall not abide. Unwilling to play the fool, to empty promises, unspoken rules, drained and anemic, you'll find no heart! So, what you see now, is what you will get, should you pursue you'll regret. That is no empty promise! |

I'm kinda jonesin for the next part.
 "Rehab" part- 12 B I woke up in a cold sweat, hands shaking, heart pounding... A part of me fell into that abyss -- sweet oblivion of nothingness. I felt a light touch on my shoulder. Angel was looking at me quizzically. "How do you feel?" "I'm fine." "You're crying." I touched my face, it was drenched. I shook my head at how vulnerable I allowed myself to be. "I'll be fine." "We all have demons. I won't let you face yours alone. That's why you need to wake up." I don't know where those words came from. I looked at the clock, 5:30 pm. I don't even know what happened the last hour. But those words, the way they were said, melted ice. "In time, you'll understand. Let's meet again tomorrow." |
