I want to know if I can hide my profile for a while I am dating someone and want to see where things go but don't want to de activate my account since we have not decided to be exclusive Thanks

The ONLY way to hide your profile is to deactivate it. Or, you could remove your pic, or you could make it 'Private' or you could leave the profile blank if you did not wish to deactivate it. If you do deactivate, it is a simple matter to return and with one click, reactivate what was already there :-)

I keep receiving a promotion message, that say one cannot hide your profile anymore unless your an upgraded member.

I keep receiving a promotion message, that say one cannot hide your profile anymore unless your an upgraded member. You may be mistaking 'Stealth' mode now being offered via the upgrade. In 'Stealth' you can view profiles without members knowing. It has naught to do with having an unviewable profile.
