^^^ You can say the same for celebrities and rock stars. They get away with questionable behavior as being "cool" or "eccentric" when everyone else doing similar acts would be labeled certifiable.

this is propogated by those who idolize wealth and external beauty.

There is nothing wrong with wealth or external beauty. Those who don't have either usually resent those who do.

and then there are those who don't care.
I was referring to the comment about two sets of standards in reference to social behavior.

Yeah well if Christian Grey wasn't a Billionaire and lived in a Trailer instead it would have been an episode of Criminal Minds.......

It's Twilight with loads of Explicit Content minus the Vampire Business....

Bottom Line : Not worth watching

its not a crime if its consentual

wealth is almost by definition 'glamorous'

I think its two different issues here,,,,,

but its true most don't want to watch a movie about impoverished people being anything but pitiful criminals or exceptional successes who achieve in spite of,,,,,,

that's kind of the role we are conditioned to see them in,,,,

I agree, those who would have the problem with the same story in a relationship with someone impoverished,, probably tend to idolize wealth and beauty

I see consentual sex between adults as just that, no matter their status in life

again, I don't think there was any criminal element there, its CONSENTUAL SEX

however, I do draw similarities to twilight, as the first in both series was a little low on plot, or acting(compared to most theater movies) , and a whole lot of empty spaces,,,,

perhaps the second will dig a bit deeper,,

Read the books. Movie was not as good. Changed a few things and condensed the storyline.

I can believe that,, its harder to capture all the nuances and imagination of a book,,

I read the books also. I guess I did not understand all the hoopla. The story line boiled down to this: a detective story with sex thrown in. Could have been covered in one book.

I hated the ending. In real life no one changes who they are for another person. It was so stupid.

So, not interested in seeing the movie.

I feel different about change

I believe that if we are not dead, by definition we are changing, little by little

by our experiences, our surroundings, our education,,,etc,,,it all continues to change us,,,,,we are complex and not set in stone so there is no 'who we are',, rather, we have an infinite number of possibilities of 'who we want to be'

What exactly are people expecting from something that started out as Twilight fan faction?
