LOVE

_______

The love he felt
Became the death he dealt
And he did it in such a way

There would be no trace
On his loving face
Nothing to give him away.

You walked through my world;
In this dance we call life,

Dancing with me in joy,
Dancing with me in strife.

You gave me the song,
And gave me the chance;

To learn about love,
When you taught me to dance.

It was not just the music,
Nor the steps that we made;

But is now in sweet memories,
That never will fade.

For love was your music,
And life was your song;

You taught me the dance,
And how to be strong.

You showed me what love was,
Even in your goodbye;

Now we've come full circle,
In this dance we call life.

So, dance with the angels,
And may you find rest;

Your song's in my heart,
And my life, fully blessed.:heart:

Love is patient, Love is kind
Love is learning to be blind.

To others' faults, it keeps no score,
Love is learning much much more.

Love protects and always trusts,
Perseverance is a must.

Love is facing stormy weather,
Hand in hand we walk together.

Love is honest, not deceiving,
In God and others we keep believing.

Love is learning to forgive
As Jesus taught us how to live.

True love we find will not forsake
But always gives more than it takes.

Love is learning to rejoice
In all we face, it is our choice.

We are learning the meaning of love
As gifted to us by God above! :heart:

I see the beauty of the rose,
Its fragrance fills the air;

But as I see your beauty,
The rose does not compare.

For when I see the white rose,
Like a touch of paradise;

It is only a reflection,
Of the innocence in your eyes.

And there within the pink rose,
A softness does impart;

Just like the kiss of morning dew,
And the tenderness of your heart.

I slowly turn the yellow rose,
Gaze on it for awhile,

And see the glittering brilliance,
In the sunshine of your smile.

And when I see the rose of red,
Look deep inside the bloom;

It holds a touch of tender love,
Like a beautiful sweet perfume.

I see the beauty of the rose,
Its fragrance fills the air;

I hear your laughter, see your face,
And the rose does not compare.:heart:

There within a crystal vase,
A fragile budding rose;

Resting there in solitude,
Its petals still enclosed.

A tender thing of beauty,
On a table spread with lace:

Turning, reaching toward the sun,
To touch and warm its face.

Slowly summer sunlight,
Drifts through the curtains there;

And rests upon the tender bloom,
As its fragrance fills the air.

So slowly and so gently,
The rose begins to bloom;

A radiant thing of beauty,
That now shares its perfume.

There within a tender heart,
So like the budding rose;

Resting, waiting quietly,
Its petals still enclosed.

A fragile thing of beauty,
Yet broken, bruised and torn;

Seeks a soothing, healing touch,
To once more make it warm.

Surrounded there in solitude,
The heart yet yearns to bloom;

To give back to another,
The gift of sweet perfume.

The fragrance of a loving heart,
Lies quietly at rest;

Crying out to be released,
Yearning for a warm caress.

For there within each petal,
A love beyond compare;

Waiting for that tender touch,
Its fragrance fills the air.flowerforyou

An angel stood between them,
Forgiveness was her name;

A promise made so long ago,
Yet now was not the same.

The gift of love and friendship,
Lay waiting in her heart;

A hand of love extended,
Like from the very start.

The angel with her crystal wings,
Outspread as if to soar;

The gift of promise from his heart,
Lay shattered on the floor.

For when the promise broke there,
A heart broke there as well;

From the pedestal she stood on,
The angel slowly fell.

She broke into a thousand lights,
That glimmered as the sun;

The promise of forgiving love,
In each and every one.

They shined there like a beacon,
For only him to see;

A promise rang there from her heart,
Despite its agony.

From each and every piece of glass,
Love and forgiveness poured;

Compassion reached out from her heart,
As she lay there on the floor.

An angel stood between them,
Forgiveness was her name;

And yet with broken promises,
Her love remained the same.:heart:

I really like this. To me it reads dark and sacrificial at the same time. I hope you are well.
