The rioters were throwing bricks! And setting fires! Come on! The rioters didn't do this for protest. They are thugs wanting to riot. Many people tried to stop them (not just the cops) How does looting and destroying a community help anything? They are doing this to innocent people. I doubt any of those thugs joined in to clean up. They left that to the innocent community. i agree with you the rioters r f'ing retards for burning down businesses and cars, if their anger is towards the police they shouldnt be f'ing with other peoples stuff. i agree with you there, my point is though they should be arrested, not fired upon. unarmed people throwing rocks at armed people with full riot gear should not constitute deadly force. When police have bricks and other things thrown at them, fires being set (even read thugs were cutting fire hoses), complete chaos and not knowing if there are guns....how are they supposed to make peaceful arrests. I know some arrests were made but we are talking about violent thugs that could hurt innocent people. Yes it would be great if they could just start slapping handcuffs on people without incident but in a violent riot....that can't happen. The rioters were outnumbering the cops |

ok then why dont you enlighten me as to how If Im wearing body armor and someone shoots me, and the body armor stops the round, does that absolve the shooter of using deadly force? Are you "stoned"? a rock would kill one of those guys, cant hit em in the head, they have helmets. cant hit em in the chest/torso too much padding for a rock to hurt them. a direct shot to the nuts might do some damage... if these guys were throwing bricks or cinder blocks maybe, but i doubt a simple average rock is going to do anything.  guns and rocks are 2 very different things. |

ok then why dont you enlighten me as to how If Im wearing body armor and someone shoots me, and the body armor stops the round, does that absolve the shooter of using deadly force? Are you "stoned"? a rock would kill one of those guys, cant hit em in the head, they have helmets. cant hit em in the chest/torso too much padding for a rock to hurt them. a direct shot to the nuts might do some damage... if these guys were throwing bricks or cinder blocks maybe, but i doubt a simple average rock is going to do anything. guns and rocks are 2 very different things. |

well, let us not forget who started this whole mess in the first place. if the police werent unjustly murdering people every god damn day in this country NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING. yea the looters are wrong but you can only push people so much before they start to push back. peaceful protests dont accomplish anything. why dont the police learn how to be peaceful and maybe this wouldnt be happening right now. how many times do you think the police can just kill and beat whoever they want before people get fed up with it and fight back. like i said the people who are looting and burning stuff are wrong 100% as the buildings and cars being burned are owned by people who had nothing to do with freddie grays death. but we wouldnt be in this situation right now if police didnt get away with murder every day in this country. those cops are on paid leave, tell me if a black man or any man for that instance beat a cop to death that person would be in jail and people would be talking death penatly, but just because a cop does it they get a paid vacation?

I chose my location here in Florida for many reasons. It's a big gulf/ocean with lots of room to hide as long as any electronics are turned off. Thousands of sailboats to choose from and a dealership across the street....already on trailers! Bug-out bags are handy, my stashes are between here and the boat dock. Give me 30 minutes and I'm a sailor at sea! Now....about that island you mentioned Iam......  Sojourning, you know what's up. Kudos to you for being prepared. Peaceful protests and calm words have fallen on deaf ears. Civil uprising is the next step in the course of seeking change. Just as the founders of this country used sedition and armed insurrection to free themselves of oppressive rule, so goes it today. When citizens are routinely abused and murdered by government agents for no good reason, and with apparent impunity, they will eventually revolt. All the badge groupies and "law and order" types can surrender their right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness if they wish. If you can't see your "freedom" being stripped from you more and more each passing day then you are blind to, or choose to ignore, it occurring. Despite all their shortcomings as productive members of society, these "ne'er do wells" are doing the dirty work to try and save us all from tyranny. Why are they defending a population that abhors them? Self preservation and nothing else to lose. Not saying it's right or wrong, just that it is. My wish is to have a citizen review board that is drawn like a jury pool to prevent political influence and corruption, that investigates and adjudicates police brutality complaints. Let the citizens whose will is supposed to determine the law of the land decide the fate of bad cops.

They are both wrong. The cops should have seen to Mr. Gray's medical needs. Violence remains also wrong. The whole community in Baltimore are condemning the police for what was done and the rioters for what they have done. That includes all ethnicities in this area.
