Central figure in the mystery religion Babylon the Great
AKA Virgin queen of heaven, Wife of Baal, mother of Tammuz
Nimrod, her husband was King of Babel Genisis 10: 8-11
When her husband Nimrod died she claimed he was now the sungod Baal and reborn in her son Tammuz.

The religious system deified her and perpetuated the myth of worshiping both Queen of Heaven, and the mother and child.

Jeremiah 44 : 17-19
17- But we will do everything that we have vowed, burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and pour out libations to her
Judges 2:13
They forsook the lord and served the Baals and Ashtaroth

Known as Semiramus, Ashtaroth , Easter, Diana, and many other names the Queen of heaven has been worshipped through the ages.
The mother and child combination also, have many names .
Semiramus & tammuz isis & horus devaki & crishna isi & iswara cybele & deoius

Ezekiel 8:14 Then He brought me to the entrance of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and behold, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.

Worshipping the “Queen of Heaven” predates Christianity and the Babylonian Empire. It goes right back to the tower of Babel. Babel means confusion. No wonder the religion is a “mystery” religion.
Nowhere in the Bible is there any dead woman or man who has special power. All who have died are still dead, except Christ who was resurrected.

26. John 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
1 corinthians 15:23
“ But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming”.

In other words this figure came to be, it evolved in to what we now know as the vigin marry in the catholic faith.

The phrase “the queen of heaven” appears in the Bible twice, both times in the book of Jeremiah. The first incident is in connection with the things the Israelites were doing that provoked the Lord to anger. Entire families were involved in idolatry. The children gathered wood, and the men used it to build altars to worship false gods. The women were engaged in kneading dough and baking cakes of bread for the “Queen of Heaven” (Jeremiah 7:18). This title referred to Ishtar, an Assyrian and Babylonian goddess also called Ashtoreth and Astarte by various other groups. She was thought to be the wife of the false god Baal, also known as Molech. The motivation of women to worship Ashtoreth stemmed from her reputation as a fertility goddess, and, as the bearing of children was greatly desired among women of that era, worship of this “queen of heaven” was rampant among pagan civilizations. Sadly, it became popular among the Israelites as well.

You got it! Mary and Joseph must have been righteous people or they would not have been chosen. Jesus did not give his mother any special status. Mary is not to be esteemed, other than being a righteous woman.

Luke 8:20-22
20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”
21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”

Luke 11:27-29
27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”
28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Unfortunately, Roman Catholic church or better known as pagan Rome has respect for this evil demon called queen of heaven as one of their pillars of faith. They sadly misconstrued the greeting from Angel Gabriel to sister marry, the mother of our Lord to be a sign of conferment of divinity to her. Constantine and the council of tent in 500 AD introduced idolatry and apostasy to Catholic Church. I was a devout member of that mother of all spiritual harlots before I obtained mercy to know the truth about God in verity

At least you figured it out. A lot of people get so confused they walk away. They figure it is all a bunch of crap. I guess you can't blame them. Anybody who goes to a church without studying for themselves is in danger of getting brainwashed. Especially if they are going through trauma in their lives.

That's exactly why I think this forum has been a blessing to me. Yes, of course I've always been a "Christian". But discussions in this forum has caused me/gave me reason to look more thoroughly at the scriptures on what actually means what and why it says that, ect. Have learned alot in the great discussions we've had here :)

Yes, it never hurts to look at what other people believe. I enjoy "free thinkers", even if they don't see thinks the same as I do.
